A Music Zoo x Gibson Custom Shop classic is back! This is a 1959 Les Paul Roasted Reissue with a torrefied flame maple top. Torrefied wood, also known as "roasted" wood is a process of removing excess moisture from the wood, in this case flame maple - to increase resonance and stability throughout weather changes, a healthy decrease in physical weight and a tone that's more akin to a guitar that has aged over years to have characteristics more like our favorite vintage guitars.
For this Roasted Reissue, we went with a top that was so flamed out, we knew it would be a crime to cover it with anything but hardware so we left off the pickguard to let every bit of figure be on full display! For pickups, we went with a set of Double Classic White '57 Classic humbuckers, bobbin colors like that always pop so nicely against a Lemon-colored burst! Act fast on this one, tops this insane don't last long!
