From the BMC Toys CLASSIC TOY SOLDIER COLLECTOR SERIES, a nearly impenetrable defensive line. The BARBED WIRE FENCES 18 piece set includes 6 barbed wire and 6 concertina wire fence sections, and 6 spike barricades. The fences are made from flexible charcoal-gray color LDPE plastic and the spikes are slightly stiff HDPE brown color plastic. All pieces are approximately 1:32 scale, but work with any 1:35 to 1:29 scale figures. The fences are 4.8 inches long and interlock to make over 2 foot long barricade. The spikes are 2.45 long x 1.25 tall and wide. The concertina sections ship flat and once assembled into coiled form are 4.75 x 1.25 inches long and tall.

These accessories were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company around 1999. The pieces were inspired by those in several famous playsets offered by Louis Marx and Company in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Classic Toy Soldiers Co. worked with BMC Toys to make them available to today's youngsters. BMC Toys was founded by Bill McMaster in 1991 and specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic realistic style of the 1950s and 1960s.

These accessories are a perfect addition for playsets and school project dioramas of many eras and conflicts from the 17th to early 20th century including the American Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Napoleonic era Conflicts, and Civil War. Packaged in clear bag with header card and recommended for ages 5 and up. Adult assembly of concertina wire required.
